Cursor plugin is outdated

The version of the Cursor plugin currently installed is approximately 3 weeks old and is missing all ce/* skills.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install the Cursor plugin following with /add-plugin compound-engineering
2. Check the available skills, no ce/* skills are present. Only workflow/*.

I'm also keen to use the latest within Cursor. In the meantime, is there a way to load the latest source as a plugin manually?

There is a cursor target for the installer script, but it's not merged into main branch yet.
Its in feat/cursor-target-provider branch

Building from source with the Cursor converter branch

The Cursor target converter lives on the feat/cursor-target-provider branch, which is behind main. To get an
up-to-date Cursor output, rebase it onto current main:

git clone https://github.com/EveryInc/compound-engineering-plugin.git
cd compound-engineering-plugin
git checkout -b feat/cursor-target-provider origin/feat/cursor-target-provider
git rebase main

You'll hit conflicts in 3 files -- all straightforward to resolve:

• src/targets/index.ts -- keep main's target list, add the cursor entry
• src/commands/convert.ts and src/commands/install.ts -- keep main's expanded target descriptions (just add
  cursor to the list), drop the old inline resolveTargetOutputRoot function (it's been extracted to a shared util
  that already handles cursor)
• README.md and package.json -- keep main's versions

Then run:

bun install
bun run src/index.ts convert plugins/compound-engineering --to cursor --output /path/to/your/project

This produces the full .cursor/ directory with all 47 rules, 41 skills, and mcp.json -- with the converter's
content transformations (path rewriting, tool name mapping) applied.

Not sure. Kieran seems to have contributed to (maybe created??) that branch, but there';s been no movement since mid Feb on it.

So it turns out the Cursor Marketplace needs to be manually updated by the Cursor team. @kieranklaassen got them to update it a week ago:

Unfortunately this means it's already slightly out of date since we just releases 2.66.1 a few moments ago :(
