UI doesnt show up like it is shown in readme pic (Linux)

I installed codex monitor through appimage for linux. However the UI is slightly different than the one shown in the picture in the readme. You can see below it shows up in the boxes style each message is in boxes :

but thats not what is marketed in the readme picture......is there any setting to tweak this? just to be sure i am not missing anything.

Ditto, it's much worse looking on linux. Also, it's terribly sluggish and laggy and rough around the edges (cachyos, kde wayland).

I can help him make it better, i dont know if ditto accepts PR? i guess he does let me give it a shot
its too different from the one shown in readme though i thought its some issue on my end lol

By "ditto" I meant that I agree with you that I experienced the same issue 😅

And tbh I'm not sure if this is due to the app or because Tauri is just absolutely horrible on linux due to using WebKitGTK instead of Chromium

yeah nvm i just saw the real name lol
yeah true but tauri just sucks on linux, the UI on my side doesnt lags enough though, wondering electron would have been a better choice.
