Have you by chance tested this out with Firmware v2.7? I just compiled the code and ran get-exif-subtitles, and it consistently outputs a 0k SRT. Perhaps there has been a major EXIF formatting change in this firmware update? Are there any requirements for recording format or quality? I typically use MP4 LPCM, but for this test switched to ordinary MP4 with 4k / 100M / 30p quality.
