Scrollable dropdown does not highlight current selection #4958

Describe the bug
In the submission form for dropdown lists the currently selected item is not highlighted correctly.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Start submitting a publication entry. For instance, select a "Type" or "Language" from the dropdown menu.
- Click again on the dropdown list: the highlighted item will always be the one after "Clear selection".
Expected behavior
After selecting an entry from the dropdown list and clicking again to open the list, the selected entry should be focused on and highlighted.
