GENERAL: “under conditions” #51

@lynn

These places are scattered across the gimste and don’t see much real use.

I’d say burna and ckeji are definitely fine: the conditions x₂, are the embarrassing/shameful thing.

curmi and zifre are fine too: freedom tends to come under negotiated conditions. I’ll let you do P as long as you do Q.

tarti is fine too, I think. People act a certain way in agentive response to the conditions around them, so it feels like a more inherent part of the relationship. This one is an edge case, though.

But banzu, binxo, cenba, ckape, cumki, cunso, dirce, flalu, frati, frili, ganse, gapci, jdari, kakne, lakne, litki, macnu, nandu, pikta, pluka, randa, ranti, rigni, rinka, runta, sarcu, simlu, skari, sligu, srera, tadji, tcaci, tinsa, viknu, viska, vlipa, xanka, zgana, and zmiku don’t need an “under conditions” place more than any other gismu that doesn’t have one, I think, so let’s get rid of them. You can always get it back using va'o.

With some of the “material” properties like litki and ranti I bet the intent was temperature/pressure/etc. But it’s a slippery slope: many other gismu’s truth values depend on a slew of environmental conditions that aren’t worth mentioning by default, and when I say something is ranti, 99% of the time I’m saying so because it’s ranti fi lo cabna.
