Here the complete list of power of ten gismu, with the associated power.
- gotci -24
- zepti -21
- xatsi -18
- femti -15
- picti -12
- nanvi -9
- mikri -6
- milti -3
- centi -2
- decti -1
- nulpa 0
- dekto 1
- xecto 2
- kilto 3
- megdo 6
- gigso 9
- terto 12
- petso 15
- xesro 18
- zetro 21
- gotro 24
The current pattern for all of them is
x1 is 10^n of x2 in dimension / aspect x3 (default is units).
Why are theses gismu existing?
- They don't follow the SI prefixes, since theses prefixes are not valid lojban gismu.
- This solution is only viable if people don't need to have a power of ten out of [-24, 24]
And they're solutions to get rid of them:
- use mei. Powers of ten are oftenly used for describing a quantity.. maybe panote'acimoi can be sufficient for kilto
- about mei, and moi, why not imagine a cmavo that will convert a number to the associated power of ten? Even a slot for specifying the power, if byte'any is too long..
- use by tenfa ny, e.g. pa no tenfa ci, since numbers have rafsi
- invent a general gismu which will have
x1 is 10 pow x2 of x3 in dimension / aspect x4 (default is units).
