Problem Statement

PrepPilot already provides users with tools such as resume building, resume analysis, interview preparation tracking, and session management. However, users still need to manually determine what to study, which topics to prioritize, and how to structure their preparation journey.

Many students and job seekers struggle with questions like:

• What should I learn first?
• Which skills are missing from my profile?
• How many days should I dedicate to DSA, Aptitude, Core Subjects, or Projects?
• How can I create a structured preparation roadmap based on my target role?

Currently, PrepPilot does not provide a personalized preparation strategy.

Introduce an AI-powered Interview Roadmap Generator that creates a personalized preparation plan based on:

Why I Am Interested

I have previously worked on MERN-stack career intelligence systems involving resume processing, profile analysis, AI-assisted recommendations, and personalized user workflows. I would like to contribute this feature through multiple incremental PRs while keeping the implementation scalable and maintainable.

I would appreciate feedback from maintainers regarding this proposal.

1. The roadmap should integrate with existing modules such as DSA Sheets, Cognitive builder, Resume Analyzer, and Interview Sessions, Users should be able to directly navigate from roadmap tasks to relevant preparation resources.

@KaranUnique thanks for assiging me , first of all i will start with the foundation PR where i will add some models , routes , and other things after that the resume uploadation and parsing with finding the suitable jobs, and later on dashboard, so i need your patientance i just want to know should i do the chnage in your current backend and frontend folder or i should make a seperate folder?? i am very intrested to work under for this Project under GSSoC tags and guidelines.

My Implementation will be added in the ResumeSection where we can upload resume parse it find job atch resume skills with actual real world job description from an open source Api of Jobs , which will lead to a reccomedation and analytics Dashboard section.

and later on if you want recruiter side login and talent leaderboard i will also implement just let me know do you want recruiter login as admin??

Why this phase first?

Since the roadmap generator will eventually depend on resume intelligence and skill extraction, I started by creating the resume-processing foundation that future roadmap generation can build upon.

I've kept the implementation modular so it can integrate smoothly with existing modules such as Resume Analyzer, DSA Sheets, and Interview Sessions as discussed.

For this issue, I'd recommend keeping the implementation focused on the proposed AI-Powered Interview Roadmap feature. The primary scope includes roadmap generation , skill-gap analysis, preparation tasks, progress tracking, and integration with existing PrepPilot modules.

Features such as resume parsing, job matching, recruiter login, talent leaderboards, and other recruitment-related workflows are outside the scope of this issue and should be proposed separately if needed.
