Very laggy if bind to network interface with "."

Binding to any interface which has dot in interface name causes no response after clicking "save", and will stuck again and again per minute.

Can't rename an interface to test on my kubuntu - always shows as

OK, added that although the interface doesn't route anything.

I don't see any lag though

Can you upload the "slowUI" logs (~/.biglybt/logs/SlowUI_1/2.log) from the time that the UI is lagging?

The lag is caused by the (native) network stack getting stuck attempting to resolve the bind address. The trigger for attempting a resolve is having at least one "." or ":" in the bind address and not starting with "(" (which implies it is a regular expression). Obviously this is a fairly weak test.

Why the (eventually failing) DNS lookup is taking so long to fail, who knows.

I can look into moving the stuff off the SWT thread, reducing the lag I guess.
