Display of .ply object fails

I have a .ply object produced by rply library ( http://w3.impa.br/~diego/software/rply/ ) , it works fine with other software (i.e CloudCompare works - see attached pik).
On latest Display, I am getting error message:
Input test_l_hc_e0.5_red.ply
Can't read this .ply file, missing the vertex indices.
Error inputting binary data.
(38858 out of 1600482420 items of size 12).
System message: Resource temporarily unavailable

@vfonov Should be fixed in BIC-MNI/bicpl develop now.
