When a media file's metadata includes credits, those credits are correctly displayed for single images and image galleries. The latter is depicted here:
But when using a tiled gallery block, the credits are not displayed:
This may be a feature, not a bug, as my experience is that tiled galleries do not display captions, either, even if they are defined — which they are:

Tiled galleries should show image credits, to ensure copyright is being respected and to prevent unauthorized use.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Avoid tiled galleries altogether in favor of regular galleries.
