Hi. I really like your mod and im gonna use it in my epic modpack to play with my homies. 5 years ago I was building a modpack and was quite sad because "best' option for health system mod was basic first aid and thats it.
But, mod obviously has some tiny problems that need polishing. Balance problems. In scav prototype (casualties unknown, whatever) game designed around this "fragile" heath system as a core mechanic.
Minecraft, obviously, never was intended to be built around something like this.
Its not a big problem, but for some or even most players it can be seen as "too grindy" or "too hardcore" or "too punishing" or whatever, idk.
Suggesting is always easier than actually doing something, but, can you please try to somehow make mod more "understandable" for theoretical player who might play with it for first time without playing scav prototype before it? Like, more feedback whenever player is wounded, make a buffer or system that will work like "if damage below X then its a tiny wound that will go away at its own" "if damage above X then its a severe wound that might result in bleeding and etc blah blah blah" it might make mod more satisfying by removing constant bleeding that is likely to happen when you get hit by skelly arrow or whatever. You probably got the idea.
Another part is adding more feedback that will tell even to clueless player that something is wrong. From what I know a lot of players (no matter the game) in games like DayZ, SS13, whatever usually tend to die not from combat (depends) but from health system that they dont understand. For example, in DayZ player might bleed out if he is newbie because bleeding might be easy to miss, or in SS13 player might die from the same bleeding if player is too clueless, or something similar, I hope you got the concept.
So, it might be good idea to add sound/visual feedback based on the wound AND/OR healthstate of the character. Its matter of creativity, but basic suggestion can be:
- Make player limp? (camera related? shader?) whenever he has fracture or severe leg damage, maybe something sound related
- Make player shiver (from the fact that hes losing a lot of heat by losing blood or smth idk) or make screen NOTICABLY darker/flashing dark whenever severe bleeding is in action, whatever
- Another idea that im too lazy to write, anyway, I think considering that you made this mod for this great game because you got inspired by another cool game you probably understand what kind of problems can be solved with this mod to make it even more better
Anyway, thanks for reading this wall of text, good luck and thank you for making such great mod, I wish something like this was real multiple years ago when I had a lot of time to play games unlike now
