Having issues recieving over audio client on Apple //e

I set my working directory on the host to C:\ADTPro-2.1.0\DIR\ and placed all the disk images I wanted in there.
Booted my //e, bootstrapped prodos then adtpro audio client.
loaded the audio client just fine, but when I try to recieve, it says "waiting for host reply" indefinitely, instead of giving me a directory.

I know I probably did something really stupid and this is an easy fix, but I can't find anything online or in the documentation. Some help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Getting audio to work is tricky, and it's finicky even when it does work. Please review this page carefully:
